Grappig initiatief van PPGH/JWT: Give us back New York!
Dutch advertising agency PPGH/JWT Amsterdam initiates the movement â??Give Us Back New Yorkâ??, aimed to take back New York and once again make it â??New Amsterdamâ??.
The city of New York was founded by Dutch settlers and originally called New Amsterdam, but was lost to the English and later the American during the course of history.
However, â??Give Us Back New Yorkâ?? are not happy with the way the American have governed the city. Their plans are to make the Big Apple â??the Big Orangeâ??, and implement all sorts of Dutch elements: streets made into canals (to the right is their vision of Wall Street), tulips in Central Park, orange yellow cabs, coffee shop Starbucks would not only sell coffee and yes, there would be Red Lightsâ?¦
President Nico Akkerman says, â??For over 200 years, weâ??ve watched our proud city evolve the wrong way. But the bell has chimed! The time has come for New York to be returned to its righteous owner: The Netherlands!â??

En waarom wil IEMAND in dingus’naam geassocieerd worden met zo’n graf-stad als NY. Ik moet er niet aan denken dat men ook aan NL denkt als NYC weer eens iets gedaan heeft. NYC, let them have it.

Een reclamebureau zet een virale campagne met humor op om zichzelf te promoten en jij gaat er inhoudelijk op in? Wellicht iets té kritisch deze keer?
ow.. is dit van reclamebureau? Ik begreep dat t een soort belangenvereniging was oid. (Het zou zomaar kunnen. Ik kijk nergens meer van op…)

NY een grafstad?
Kom aan, als ik er een half jaar niet ben geweest, mis ik het al, alleen al die musea, de diversiteit in winkels, de enorme keuze aan restaurants, het geheel, het totaal … heerlijk
Give us back New York. Goede vondst, omdat het idee op waarheid berust. Helaas mist de uitwerking scherpe kantjes. Het is allemaal zo vlak. En het wordt pas grappig na een biertje of 6. Conclusie: jammer!!! Conclusie 2: het is maar goed dat PPGH onder curatele komt te staan van Ubags Wiesbrun.
